Timothy A. Weaver was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Weaver graduated from The Ohio State University, College of Business Administration where he majored in finance and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Cumberland School of Law, Samford University in 1993. During law school, Mr. Weaver was recognized for his legal writing skills and was honored to serve as a Cordell Hull Teaching Fellow assisting in the instruction of legal writing to first year law students. In addition, Mr. Weaver gained valuable criminal trial experience as a third year law student prosecuting felony and misdemeanor criminal cases in the District Attorney's Office in Bessemer, Alabama. Mr. Weaver was admitted to practice in Florida in October 1993.

 
Civil and Criminal Experience


Upon admission to the Florida Bar in 1993, Mr. Weaver began practicing in Okaloosa County, Florida as a criminal defense attorney with the Office of the Public Defender as an Assistant Public Defender. He represented thousands of clients for felony and misdemeanor cases in both County and Circuit Court. In 1998, he was associated with a law firm in Destin, Florida where he focused on criminal and civil litigation, including personal injury. In addition, his practice areas included automobile accident insurance defense and condominium association representation.

Established Timothy A. Weaver, P.A.

In 1995, Ms. Weaver was selected as a judicial staff attorney for the judges of Okaloosa County. In her position as staff attorney, Ms. Weaver assisted the Circuit Court judges with complex civil litigation cases and criminal cases, including murder trials wherein the state was seeking the death penalty during both the guilt and penalty phases of the trial.

Traffic Court Hearing Officer

In 2003, Mr. Weaver was honored to be appointed as a Traffic Court Hearing Officer for Okaloosa County, Florida. After receiving comprehensive training, he served in that capacity for more than three years during which time he presided over hundreds of traffic citation hearings, including those involving automobile accidents. His service as a traffic court hearing officer has been invaluable to his representation of clients accused of committing civil traffic infractions.

In October 2008, Ms. Weaver joined the firm her husband, Timothy A. Weaver, founded in Navarre, Florida, which was then renamed Weaver & Weaver, Attorneys at Law. In September 2013, Robert G. Collins joined the practice which is now known as Weaver, Weaver & Collins, P.A. Ms. Weaver has practiced in the areas of family, civil and criminal law. Currently, Ms. Weaver is the General Counsel for the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office and serves as the managing partner at Weaver, Weaver & Collins, P.A. 

Ms. Weaver also serves as a mediator for family law and civil cases having been certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Certified Family and Certified Circuit Civil Mediator. She is a member of the family law, criminal law, and employment law sections of the Florida Bar, a former chairman of the Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee of the Florida Bar, a member of the Escambia/Santa Rosa and Okaloosa/Walton County Bar Associations. In addition, Ms. Weaver is a member of the Florida Academy of Professional Mediators, the Navarre Area Chamber of Commerce, and former member of the board of directors for the Community Drug and Alcohol Council (CDAC).
